Mr. Rian Akey discusses his paper, “Commodities:  A Case for Active Management,” which has recently been accepted for publication in the Journal of Alternative Investments.

Rian Akey is the Vice President and COO of Cole Partners and Cole Asset Management.  He is responsible for overseeing the firms’ research and operations.  In 2005, Cole Asset Management launched a multi-advisor fund dedicated to the natural resources sector.  Mr. Akey is on the investment committee for the fund.  His article on the active case for commodities is available on the firm’s website at http://www.colepartners.com.
